Committees

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee shall be comprised of the officers of the Board of Directors (President, President-Elect, Secretary, and Treasurer). The Executive Committee shall have the authority of the Board of Directors in the management of the Corporation between meetings of the Board of Directors, except that such Committee shall have no authority to amend, alter or repeal bylaws. Actions of the Executive Committee shall be reported to the entire Board of Directors.

Nominations Committee

The Nominations Committee shall be composed of five (5) members, at least two (2) of whom shall be members of the Maryland Assembly Board of Directors and the remaining being general members of the Maryland Assembly. Nominations Committee members shall be elected for a two (2) year term by the voting membership at its annual membership meeting. The chair of the Nominations Committee shall be the immediate past president and shall serve a two (2) year term.

The Nominations Committee shall nominate persons for election as officers, Board of Directors and members of the succeeding Nominating Committee as required by these bylaws. A list of such nominees shall be sent to all members entitled to vote with the notice of the annual membership meeting.

Finance/Fundraising

The Finance/Fundraising committee shall be responsible for developing the financial and budgetary policy of Maryland Assembly for approval by the board of directors and shall report on the fiscal position of Maryland Assembly on a regular basis.

The Finance/Fundraising committee shall consist of the current Board Treasurer, who will chair the committee, and at least two (2) others to be appointed by the President.
